Ezra 3 yrs and Ryan Amox Hit and Run Fund
Donation protected
I am doing the fundraiser for my son, Ryan, and my first grand child, Ezra.
Both Ryan & his 3 yr old son, Ezra, were severely injured by a hit & run driver while they were walking across a street off Grant Rd. in Cypress. Since the driver left the scene it is assumed they are probably uninsured. Ezra has a broken rib , lacerations, and a head injury, but luckily he was on Ryan's shoulders and was thrown into a grassy area which probably saved his life. They have a limited individual health insurance policy that will not cover most of their medical expenses. Ryan will have at least 3 months of limited mobility plus some time in physical therapy which will restrict his ability to perform both of his jobs plus he won't be able to drive. His second job is trash pick-up at an apartment complex which requires him to go up & down 3 flights of stairs. He may not be able to do this job again. Ryan had surgery on his legs yesterday and emergency surgery this morning to reduce excessive swelling. Doctors have indicated there will be more surgeries & rehabilitation to restore the use of his legs. He will have the expense of moving from an apartment on the second floor to one on the first floor because he won't be able to climb stairs. The first floor apartment is more expensive because of the 'upgrades' due to renovations after flood damage during Harvey.
As a note Harris County Precinct 4 has identified the 3 men who were in the car and found them partying at another complex. Since they can't identify the driver, no one has been arrested. They nearly killed 2 people & left the scene. Seems like that should be an automatic reason to arrest them all but the officers are indicating they need more time to investigate.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
