Boston Area Performer Support Fund

As you all know, coronavirus is negatively impacting the livelihoods of the hospitality and nightlife entertainment industries. Folks are seeing their gigs go up in smoke. For some folks, performance is their main source of income and they are particularly vulnerable. I am setting up a gofundme to support performers of all stripes: drag, djs, burlesque etc. Disbursements will start on Monday, March 16. I’m soliciting modifications to my disbursement idea until then. My initial idea is that performers will be eligible for one 100 dollar disbursement per week. We will prefer performers for whom this is their main source of income. Then we will go to performers for whom this is supplemental (they have a side gig and you depend on both to make ends meet), followed by everyone else.
