100% of donations will be distributed to Asheville hospitality workers in need.
During this completely unprecedented and terrifying crisis in the wake of COVID-19, the hospitality industry and everyone involved in FOH, BOH, and management positions are adjusting to state mandates and restaurant closures resulting in most staff finding themselves suddenly without a job.
While utility companies, mortgage lenders, and rental companies are taking necessary measures to ensure we can keep our lights and water on and stay in our homes without a steady income is one of the kindest and humbling gestures, we will need help rebuilding, help putting food on our tables, and most importantly, getting back on our feet financially.
The service industry in Asheville is the second largest industry behind healthcare. In North Carolina alone, 13% of our workforce is made up of everyone who making a restaurant and bar run. I imagine the number in Asheville to be much higher.
We are a family here, and we need help. If you are financially able, please donate what you can to the people who make this such an extraordinary city.
We will keep everyone updated on ways to help whether it be through donations here, packaging and delivering food to F&B workers and their families, or just general emotional support. We can do this. We can weather this storm together.
Much love and stay strong!
