Austin Needs Our Help For A Biopsy

Meet Austin – He is a Labrador retriever that is a former Sergeant in the Marines that smells explosives. He was partnered with his Human Joe, while he was on his third tour overseas. They were leading patrols with the purpose of finding IEDs ( Improvised Explosive Devices), and they bonded very quickly. Austin made it his mission throughout the duration of his deployment to better the most disadvantaged lives.
When it was time for Austin to be relieved from his duty and be returned, it was a heart-breaking day for Joe. Several years later Joe went on a search for his battle buddy and with a spectacular amount of support from the internet and a nonprofit group, Joe was able to track Austin down in Texas learning he was still in service. With help from many, Joe and Austin were reunited and he has been living a spoiled and happy doggo life.
Austin is now 12 and loves to be outside, go on hikes, play in the water, long cuddles, and all the pets he can get. Most of all he loves being next to his battle buddy Joe. Austin recently took a spill down some stairs and hurt his leg. The x-rays confirmed that there was nothing broken but it was very swollen. During these x-rays, a growth in his lung was discovered. Currently, it is undetermined what the options are. This mass needs to have a biopsy done to determine what treatments may be available.
Joe has done everything in his power to give Austin the most carefree, safe, and loving life a doggocould imagine. I am reaching out to anyone who can relate to a love you have for your furry loved one and to help cover a portion of the recent medical expenses, cost of the biopsy and future cancer treatments to determine what can be done to help this awesome warrior!
