Baked Blessings

Donation protected
Anyone who knows me, knows I love to bake!! Do what you love, right? Well I love it so much that I've been baking for about 20yrs. For my family, friends, business associates and now hopefully for complete strangers. I was in the process of planning to open a bakery before all of the uncertainty of Coronavirus and Covid-19 washed through our borders, our government and our community. In our community, and I'm sure it's the same in other communities as well, our food banks are running dry, and so are some of our other resources that are utilized by our homeless and low-income population. This provoked a lot of feelings and emotions within me. I would like to somehow give back to not only my community but to as many communities as we can reach, and with your help and donations we just may be able to! Love what you do, right? Well I LOVE to bake and I LOVE to feed people and families, although I have the ability, I just don't have the finances to be able to afford bake for days. I am willing to donate 100% of my available time to bake all sorts of breads, snacks, treats and so much more, if I can collect financial donations for the ingredients from anyone who is in the position to help! Sure... a box of cookies may be a little cheaper than a bag of flour...but with a bag of flour, sooooo many things can be created!! Help me help the low-income population of our community! Please note! This is NOT a business! I am NOT looking to profit in ANY WAY! I am willing to DONATE my time at no charge to be able to provide this service for those who need it most! SUPER EXCITING UPDATE!! David and THE FIG BISTRO has graciously offered their commercial kitchen to use for this EXCITING ADVENTURE!! Now we just need the donations to roll in for the ingredients and we can start feeding the people who need it most!!! This all started with just me, a couple of very supportive business associates, my love for baking, and not to mention my love to help feed people and families. PS: I will drop off the baked goods with the Salvation Army or the Upper Mission (in the Okanagan). I also want you to know, I will also take all precautionary measures to ensure your health and safety. Please share and spread the word! Once some donations have been accumulated, I will place my order with local merchants for the ingredients and have them dropped off with a local delivery service, or I will personally pick them up with click and collect. Ingredient/grocery runs will be done, ideally, every two weeks - once a month to minimize exposure. Any donations that are surplus will be used to upgrade the kitchen appliances to accommodate the demand of baked goods and/or donated to the Salvation Army/Upper Mission. If you have any suggestions or want to help in some way, please message me personally. We are in this TOGETHER! Stay safe and stay healthy!
