FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE

In the past year Lisa had often spoken of being extremely tired at times but it would subside. After seeing many healthcare providers in Florida, she was repeatedly told there was nothing to worry about. This included numerous trips to the ER, only to be told her bloodwork was normal and there was nothing they could do for her. Feeling frustrated and exhausted, she came home to Connecticut for a visit. She was able to get an appointment with a specialist who immediately scheduled her for a PET scan, exploratory surgery and more bloodwork. She was given the devastating news that she has Stage IV cervical cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes and bones. This was both devastating and shocking to all of us who love her so much. She is undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments which leave her in grueling pain and often very sick. Without these treatments, there would be no hope of survival. She has shown so much strength, hope and courage over these past few months. Sadly she is unable to work any longer and is consumed by stress over the mounting bills plus the additional supplements and daily needs that aid in fighting this monster. Lisa's oncologist says that  she has a good chance of beating this, but it will be a very long road and will require a lot of treatments and sacrifice. Please consider a donation.
