Vinnie's Recovery

This is my little guy Vinnie. Saturday evening March 28th, Vinnie and his sister Abby got through the gates in my house and ran through my legs when I opened up the front door. I think they may have seen a deer and started chasing because nothing was stopping them and they just don't do that, especially Vinnie. Unfortunately they made it out to Stadium Drive and Vinnie was hit by a car. He's currently at the Animal Hospital and is in critical but stable condition. They had to put a chest tube in as he had an injury to his lung. His chest cavity is filling with air so the chest tube helps remove the air in hopes the injury in his lung will heal. He's been in the hospital since last night and will be there at least through Monday evening assuming he continues to do well. This is not an expense I had expected or can afford. After being unemployed for almost 6 months I'm just getting back on my feet and this is a huge hit. I'm not one to grovel or even ask for help as it's humiliating but I don't know what else to do. His bill is hovering right around $3,500 right now. Anyone who knows me knows how much my animals are family to me and those who know Vinnie know what a sweet, snuggling little goofball he is. Any amount is appreciated and I am grateful for any donations. I will keep you updated on his status and thank you for all the love. ❤️
