Protect Our Crosshouse Hospital Staff.

We are absolutely bowled over by the response in the last 24 hours. We will be closing the appeal now and getting the money to Ward 2D as soon as we can. Thank you again for your donations. You are wonderful. ❤ In it together. ❤ My dad, Joe Howie, contracted Covid 19 and was cared for with dignity and compassion, in Ward 2D in Crosshouse Hospital. The staff put their lives at risk every day attending to my dad and other Coronavirus victims.They are in danger of being coughed and sneezed on as they help patients with life saving ventilators. They are meant to be wearing the equipment shown on the right. They don't have that. They don't even have the head equipment on the left which is for staff who are within one metre of a Covid 19 patient. My amazing dad is no longer here to brighten up the world for every person he meets. I know he would have wished for us to help the people who helped him. My mum, myself and our family would respectfully suggest that rather than buy flowers or a card that you make a donation to help protect the staff fighting to save the lives of our loved ones. We really appreciate the lovely messages, flowers and cards that we have received. Thank you for the guidance from the Communications Department in Crosshouse Hospital.
