Morales Brothers : COVID-19

Donation protected
Hello Everyone, I made this GoFundMe page on April 7th, 2020 in efforts to help raise money for the loss of my beloved uncle Javier Morales, who passed away on April 6th, 2020. Unfortunately, on April 7th, my other uncle, Martin Morales, (Javier’s Brother) also passed away as well. Both of these losses were caused by the COVID-19 virus. In the last 24 hours I have gone from losing one uncle to now two. My uncle Javier and uncle Martin Morales, were not even 50 years old, but this virus cut their lives short. They were strong men with an equally strong will to provide for their families. Something they could not do in our small village in Mexico. As teenagers they left our hometown and came to the United States, and they established new ties here in the states. They raised families, and planted roots in the community of Teaneck, New Jersey. They worked everyday to make an honest living. We are nothing but proud of them and will always keep them in our hearts. In this difficult moment our family wants nothing but to bring them both to their hometown, Oaxaca, Mexico. My uncle Javier Morales, heartbreakingly leaves my cousin Cristal, the only child. My Uncle Martin, leaves behind his beautiful family, his wife and 3 beautiful young kids, one sixteen year old boy currently in Teaneck High School, and two toddlers that are currently in kindergarten. We hope to raise enough funds to help with the funeral expenses but also enough to sustain Javiers daughter, Cristal, and help Martins newly widow and kids as they are unable to work in these tragic moments. My family could’ve never imagined this happening to us. My uncles were great men with so much life — they are not numbers, statistics, they were humans who deserved better. My Tio Javier was a 48 year old man who was truly the life of the party. He even celebrated every time he went out to Vote during elections, knowing that he was representing his Latinx family. His last wish was to be buried in his hometown, his Pueblo, Santa Catarina, Yosonotu, a small village located in Oaxaca, Mexico. My Tio Martin was a young man, barely even 40 years old. He loved bike riding, making jokes, and spending time with his kids. He was a funny person, who always had a smile on his face, and would always crack jokes to lighten the mood. He did his best to give his three children, Coby Morales, Emiliano, and Axcity Morales, a better future. He was loved by everyone and we miss him so much. I’m trying my best to be strong for my cousins and my uncles and at a time where social distancing is being practiced, I want nothing more than to be with my family and grieve, but that is not possible. Right now, all I can do is make sure they have a proper funeral in their hometown, Santa Catarina Yosonotu, Oaxaca, Mexico and care for the children who have lost their fathers. It was their last wish. My family is an immigrant family who have planted roots in Teaneck, New Jersey. We are community members, workers, students, and most importantly, a family. We are asking for help from the community, so if you can and are able to do so, please consider donating to make their funerals possible.
