As we all know, the death toll of COVID-19 is spreading like a wild fire at an alarming rate. It is affecting people irrespective of racial, ethnic, and other backgrounds. Consequently, people in different countries are facing problems which threaten their existence and survival. This mainly targets wage laborers and those who do not have permanent jobs.
Seeing all such things we, the Ethiopian community abroad, have organized this fundraising campaign to be helpful for the helpless people in Ethiopia.
Accordingly, we will provide sanitary materials, assist with basic needs( teff, cooking oil, etc ) and anything else that one might need help with in Addis Ababa until the situation gets back normalized. You are an invaluable resource in reversing this situation and the atmosphere it gave birth to. We urge you to donate a part of what you have as your minimal contribution positively affects, at least, a single life in Ethiopia.
Shortly, these fellow citizens will appreciate you and say, “I am now what I am because of what you did then.” So, we encourage and urge you to plant a seed of love today and harvest peace and social harmony tomorrow. You are alive to make a difference.

ሁላችንም እንደምናውቀው እንደ ሰደድ እሳት እየተስፋፋ ባለው በኮሮና ቫይረስ እያለቀ ያለው ሰው ብዛት አሳሳቢ ደረጃ ላይ እየደረሰ ነው። ይህ በሽታ ዘር፣ የቆዳ ቀለም፣ እድሜ ወዘተ ሳይለይ ሁሉንም እያጠቃ ይገኛል። በዚህም ምክንያት በተለያየ ሀገር የሚኖሩ ሰዎች የመሮርና ያለመኖር ጥያቄ ተጋርጦባቸዋል። ችግሩ በተለየ የጉልበት ሰራተኞችን እና ዝቅተኛ ገቢ ያላቸውን ይህንንም ከግምት በማስገባት በዲሲ ሜሪላንድ እና ቨርጂንያ አካባቢ የምንኖር ኢትዮጵያውያን በኢትዮጵያ ያሉ የተቸገሩ ወገኖቻችንን ለመርዳት የህንን የዕርዳታ ጥሪ አዘጋጅተናል። በዚህም መሰረት በሽታው በኢትዮጵያ እሲገታ ድረስ ለችግሩ ተጠቂዎች የምግብ እና የንጽህና መጠበቂያ ቁሳቁስ እርዳታ እናቀርባለን። እርስዎም አስተዋፅኦ ይህንን ችግር ለመቀልበስ በጣም አስፈላጊ ነው። በዛ አነሰ ሳይሉ የአቅምዎትን እንዲለግሱና ቢያንስ የአንድ ወገንዎን ህይወት እንሪታደጉ በትህትና እንተይቃለን። ህይወታቸውን የታደጉት የታደጓት ወገንዎም “ዛሬ እኔ እኔን የሆንኩት ትናንት እርስዎ ትላንት ባደረጉት አስተዋጽኦ ነው” ይልዎታት ትልዎታለች። ስለዚህም፤ ዛሬ የፍቅርን ዘር ዘርተው ነገ ሰላምንና መተሳሰብን እንዲያጭዱ እናበረታታዎታለን። የእርስዎ መኖር ለውጥ ያመጣል። በዚህ ታሪካዊ ጊዜ ላይ የእርስዎ ምርጫ ምንድን ነው፤ ቆሞ ተመልካች ወይስ ታሪክ ሰሪ.
