Helping Hiro!
Donation protected
Our nonprofit needs your help! Hiro is an ex-racehorse rescued 13 years ago, and we can't imagine our farm or our program without him! Hiro had to have emergency stomach surgery on Sunday April 12th for colic. He is doing very well in recovery. We have been FaceTiming every day and listening to music together. He nuzzles the phone and licks and chews (horse people know this is a great sign!).
Thank goodness for technology so we can stay connected. Hiro’s surgery cost about $15,000 and between our staff, fantastic volunteers, and loving supporters we were able to raise $6,600 so far!! Hiro is back home now and recovering. Thank you all for the love, prayers and support during this time. Every bit helps us! At Bright Strides Art & Equine Therapy, our mission is to combine non-verbal artistic expression, physical movement and the powerful bond between horse and rider enables our Art-Equestrians to improve a range of motor, cognitive and social skills, increase muscle activity, and enhance self-confidence.
