We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marie S. Pino beloved Wife of Pastor Ira Pino Sr. on Wednesday, May 13th in Albuquerque, NM from complications from covid-19. She was originally from Sheepsprings, NM and lived her life with her family in Alamo. Marie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and First Lady of Alamo Miracle Church. Mrs. Pino worked at Alamo Navajo Community School over 40 plus years as an educator. She loved teaching and loved her students. She made many friends during her teaching at Alamo Community School. Marie is survived by her husband Ira Pino Sr., her father Lewis Smith, Daughters; Cheryl Ganadonegro (Aaron Ganadonegro), Ivonne Boggs, and Natalie Pino (AJ Baca), Sons; Anderson Pino (Marcindy Apache), Ira Pino Jr. (Delilah Baca), Daugther-in-Law Delfina Monte, Grandchildren’s, Great Granddaughter, and her Smith Family. Ella Smith from Sheepsprings, NM and Joanne Wesby from Haymarket, VA. Mrs. Pino is preceded in death by her son Marcus Pino Sr., Mother Mary Smith and sister Clara Smith Due to social distancing and stay at home order the family will be doing a burial service for immediate family only. However, once the orders are lifted the family will hold a memorial service in combine with her beloved son. You could pay your respects by a roadside farewell during the procession. The family requests monetary donations to Go Fund Me account to cover funeral expenses and to cover bills that accrued. Also donations can be given to Natalie Pino at the Chapter House housing or Marcindy Apache at Cherrytown Housing. Her body will be brought back from Daniel’s Family Funeral Home Friday, May 22nd around 8:15am - 8:30am to Alamo. Procession through Alamo will be around 9:15am-9:30am. The Burial service will be at Pino Cemetery. We advise everyone to follow through Navajo Nation guidelines on practicing social distancing and to wear Face Masks. Please keep Pino & Smith Family in prayers during this difficult times.
