Rosie’s Treatment

Hello family and friends! I hope everyone is staying safe during these difficult times and doing well! I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my mother, Rosie Kassin, who is currently battling Stage 4 ovarian cancer, which has now metastasized to her lungs. She has undergone several types of chemotherapy and various treatment, all which have not worked. She has been especially comprised during this pandemic, simply because her immune system is fragile from the cancer and her treatment. In May of 2017, my mother beat Stage 1 ovarian cancer after major surgery and chemo. However, although we thought that would be the end of our battle, her cancer came back far more severely in April of 2019. Anyone who knows my mother knows that she is a true testament of grace, beauty, strength, and resilience. She is a wife, mother, hard worker, friend, and most of all—a fighter. She has undergone trial after trial throughout her life, but has accepted each one with such grace. She is not willing to give up, and neither are we. Her life is worth more than could ever put into words, and we cannot continue to see her suffer. After doing some research, we have found the potential for alternative treatment, which has been recommended to us. This treatment, however, is far out of what we can afford. My mother is currently not working and my stepdad, Elmo, is currently working-however business has also been very slow for him. My brother’s work, as well as my own, is also being greatly affected, which has made this an even tighter, more difficult situation on us financially. We are asking for donations to seek this alternate treatment and give my mom the chance to live the long, healthy life that she deserves to live. Thank you for reading.
