Operation Face Shield
Donation protected
Hey friends and family. As we all know, COVID 19 took us all by storm. Our kids are being home schooled, our businesses are on hold, and life in general has been completely disrupted. For many of us, that means complying with social distancing, and sitting home and waiting for the dust to settle. Many of our friends in the healthcare industry don't have that option. Every day these men and women are faced with the challenge of walking into an environment that puts not only them in harm's way, but their children and families as well. Day in and day out these people walk into their jobs not knowing if they're bringing this virus back home. When this hit, none of our hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, doctors offices, or any other healthcare institutions had enough protective equipment. These men and women face transmission on a minute by minute basis. We are currently running 9 3D printers, 20 hours per day, in order to provide these men and women with much needed face shields. The shields are clinically approved by the National Institute of Health to be 3D printed in lieu of the equipment that they're used to receiving. A face shield allows for a nurse or doctor to be in close contact with a patient without worrying about being in contact with saliva, which is one of the ways that transmission has been occurring. Each face shield and ear saver we've produced represents a person. These people are our mothers, fathers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, or friends. As of 5/12 we have donated over 3000 of these items to our nurses. That's 3000 people that now have a lower risk of transmission than they did before. Please consider donating to this cause in order for us to keep providing this PPE to some of the most important people in our society - our nurses. This operation has grown very near and dear to our hearts, as we have poured countless hours into the manufacturing of these shields from home. Please consider giving a gift to these men and women who give so much each and every day. Thank you all so much.
