COVID Outbreak At My Mother’s Nursing Home

Please help me rescue my mother before it is too late! Besides my higher power, my mother is the only source of unconditional love that I’ve ever known. My mother lives in a long term care facility in Michigan, where of course there is now an outbreak of this terrible virus. Sadly, this is something I had to discover on the facility’s website. They did not tell either of us directly that there was any COVID-19 in the building. She is an MS patient with an already compromised immune system. Flying from my home in Hawai’i to rescue my mother in Michigan was not a trip I was planning on taking or could afford to take but the moment I discovered the truth about her living conditions, I had to spend my whole budget on a flight. Being a former lifeguard, I could not remain idle in Hawai’i whilst my beloved mother is suffering from fear and isolation in Michigan. I am a Hawai’i public school teacher on a limited budget, like nearly everybody else right now! At this point, my mother’s RN guardian has banned me from even saying happy birthday to my own mother over the phone. She has lived in a nursing home for decades, which now regularly tests around 30 COVID-19 positive residents and staff, according to their newsletter. Please help me rescue my mother before it is too late!
