Masks For St. Patricks Manor
St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, MA is a nonprofit, short-term and long-term care facility that my Grandmother Evelyn has lived at since 2013. They are currently having a major problem with Covid-19 outbreak and are struggling to keep supply of PPE including N95 masks. Because hospitals receive equipment first, nursing homes are forced to appeal to the public for donations. Right now caregivers are re-wearing the same mask from shift to shift and they are scared to go to work.
My goal is to purchase a large quantity of N95 surgical masks to donate to St. Patrick's Manor ASAP. In a perfect world these masks would be manufactured in America, in abundance, and be free for anyone who needs them. Sadly, that is not the case. The next best option is, you guessed it, eBay.
Sellers on eBay are listing boxes of surgical masks for sale every day, many of them at an astronomical margin. There are good deals to be found though, if you are quick. After two days of research I've determined that the proper 3M N95 mask can be acquired for around $10. I've since ordered several boxes to donate and will continue to look for good deals, but I can't afford to do this alone.
If you are compelled to help your donations will go straight towards PPE for the great people who take care of my Grandmother and the other 300+ precious souls at St. Patrick's Manor. I can't think of a better use of such a short amount of money!
If you donate $200 or more (the cost of a box of 20 masks) I am happy to offer a "front porch" photo shoot to you and your family. We can pick a time in the next month or two for me to swing by and shoot your family portrait (from a distance). I just did my first one for good friends that recently had a baby - see photo below. Must be within a reasonable drive from Newton / Boston.
Thank you!!
