Save A COVID-19 affected international student.

It's incredibly difficult when you know you're different from everyone around you. I'm an international student from India doing a Master’s degree. I have lost all my income and savings because of the COVID-19 crisis and I am not eligible for any government payments because I am not a permanent resident or a citizen. We are not even eligible for a concession on public transport. We are taking on significant credit card debt at exorbitant interest rates to pay for groceries, utilities, rent, and university fees. International students like me are lining up for hours in the cold and rain outside food banks and charities to receive a bag of groceries.  We have not received a single dollar of support from the state or federal government yet, even though international students collectively contribute tens of billions of dollars in fees to the economy. The financial strain is taking a huge toll on my psychological health and those of us from Asian backgrounds are enduring relentless racial taunts and abuse because of the ongoing crisis.
