Help Luna Reunite With Her Sister

Donation protected

Hello! I am a proud dog mom of 2 pugs. I adopted my best friend Luna April 26th, 2015. After being forced to move schools and towns at 15 years old I was a lonely teenager in a new environment, sad that i had to leave my friends. My lovely father offered to invite a fur baby into my life to help with the change. I have always wanted a pug! She has been through everything with me as I grew into the adult I am today. I can confidently say I have never felt alone ever since she came into my life. She has brought pure happiness and delight. I love her so so much. She is the sweetest most loveable goofball ever. I later rescued her sister Nova off the streets 4 years later. They have an inseparable bond. They are the light of my life. i got so lucky! 2 pugs, an absolute dream.  I never want anything to happen to them so I put them on wellness plans, but unfortunately that cant help me in this situation.
Sadly, I am living my worst nightmare as Luna NEEDS extensive procedures done to save her life. .  What started as a simple UTI turned into her urethra being blocked making it impossible for her to pass urine without a catheter or by needle. If the urine can’t pass naturally her bladder will overfill and burst pushing toxins into her body leading to death. I had to rush her to an emergency hospital, where she is still staying on April 28th. Many many tests and scans have been done to detect the problem but nothing is coming up. The tests indicate that she is a very healthy pug. Blood work, ultrasound, urine culture, cancer screenings and radiographs show that her organs are working, She does NOT have cancer, she does not have any crystals blocking any passage and despite them finding NOTHING she still can’t urinate on her own!

The veterinarians are confused themselves which means they are sending her to an internal medicine specialist on May 4th, so they can do more extensive screenings (CT scan, xrays) and insert a scope into her urethra to see what is blocking it up and possibly surgery. The specialty hospital estimated up to $12,000 after boarding and procedures. This is when i truly started to panic. I asked myself how my family and I will come up with that much money by next week! My family and I have already spent about $1200 at the hospital she is staying in now. on top of the $299 vet bill a week before this situation happened to diagnose her UTI. The appointment is Monday May 4th as of this time I am not 100% sure when payment will be due but I assume by midweek.
We Do not have the type of funds to pay that even after cashing in our means of emergency savings and opening up a credit card. I am now in debt and am considering selling my only means of transportation if that means saving my baby girl. My savings has been drained completely. I visited her today and you would think nothing is wrong. She’s still the energetic lovable pup I grew into adulthood with. She has so much life left in her she is only 5 years old. I will not give up on her. Her sister hasn’t eaten in a few days I’m afraid she’s depressed, but I’m trying my hardest to stay strong for the both of them. I’m afraid to think of what will happen if I can’t afford to have specialists review her condition and fix this undetectable blockage. It’s truly a mystery I wish this was a simple fix that didn’t require such extensive procedures just to simply diagnose the problem .

She will not be able to leave the hospital until this is fixed. Anything will be greatly appreciated. All I want is to bring her home to her sister and family. I want her to be okay. i do not want her life cut short she has too much spirit left for that. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Im praying to God for a miracle.

DETAILS *Invoices posted as soon as I get them*
April 23rd- I took her to the vet where she was diagnosed with a simple UTI infection after urine samples and cultures done the vet detected a small amount of fragments of struvite crystals. Nothing that Antibiotics, pain medication, and a new diet of Urinary SO can’t treat AS LONG as she doesn’t suddenly stop urinating. The vet warned me that if this happened it could mean that a stone has passed into her urethra. The bill= $299
April 25th- I notice her straining to pee multiple times and no urine is coming out. She skips dinner that night.
April 26th- I wake up to find her shaking and attempting to pee but nothing is coming out. I rush her to the hospital. She is still staying there until Monday when I take her to the specialist. The bill = about $1250.
April 27th- she is sedated when the vet try’s to express the bladder manually but it won’t express. a catheter is inserted to assist her urination. Tests are done we are awaiting results.
April 28th- she shows signs of improvement. The tests and scans show nothing in her urethra. Still awaiting cancer results. The vet schedules her to get the catheter removed in the next few days
April 29th-no cancer results yet. Now we wait and hope for good news.
April 30th- cancer result comes back negative. They remove the catheter and unfortunately she still can’t urinate. They are going to sedate her AGAIN to attempt to express it manually.
May 1st- I get the call that they have tried everything they can to try to find the issue and have no luck. The next thing to do is send her to a internal specialist where they have the tools to send a scope into her urethra to examine what is blocking her. A catheter cannot be placed again as it will traumatize her bladder too much so, they are now expressing her bladder through a needle. An appointment is scheduled May 4th with the specialist. They give me an estimate over the phone of about 12,000.
