2 Females and 3 Cats all homeless since March 2023

Hello Im a 22 y.o black female and I’m trying to crowdfund to finally get stable housing for my roommate and our cats.

We’ve been homeless since March of 2023. Something went wrong with our payment and therefore they gave us a month to pay.

Sadly, our wifi was part of our utilities and since something went wrong with payment they wouldn’t turn on our Wi-Fi’s. Since we didn’t have wifi we couldn’t crowdfund to help keep the apartment.

We’ve been abandoned by family and no one will take us in because of our cats. We bounced hotel room hotel for MONTHS and even had to pick paying the room over eating some days. Many days consisted with us sitting outside with all of our items, our cats, hot, tired and hungry and constantly being told to leave even though we had nowhere to go and I money to get there.

I was able to get state assistance after months of applying to jobs for no help. Took 2 months of being in the system to start working. Since we couldn’t afford transportation I walked to work. Every. Single. Day. 3 months, 5 days days a week, 2 times a day for my first job.

The job didn’t hire me after my temp so I went from getting paid weekly and getting paid 12/hr so I can at least afford to pay the hotel room weekly (a new thing for us and a little more stability).

So I went from 12/hr weekly to 9.25/hr biweekly. Which broke our 3 months of a little bit of stability. We had to move hotels again and go back to worrying about paying daily instead of weekly. Things have gotten harder for me since that job.

Ive been working since June/July and even juggled two jobs at a point in time to keep us afloat. Even with working it wasn’t enough to keep us from struggling and needing to ask others for help for other essentials for us and our cats.

We are struggling bad. I’m the only one who worked and now we don’t have a job to fall back on. We pay almost $60 DAILY just to keep a roof over our head when we would pay much less at an apartment.

2 of the cats stay in the bathroom and don’t get the roam. 1 cat is in the room but also doesn’t get to roam much. We share one bed between two females. We always have to replace supplies like tissue, soap, cat litter, pads etc

Cat food, water and litter is always a priority to keep our kitties well. But things like food and whatnot we usually have to wait until we’re fully out to replace

Any and all help from this crowdfund would go directly towards getting housing, moving our items out of storage and furnishing our new apartment as well as getting groceries and supplies

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! With the new year rolling in, this is almost a full year of homelessness.

Please helps us if you can, tip and share to other people. We have been doing this for so long and finally getting a break would be the blessing we need in 2024.

Again, all donations here would stay here to afford stable housing. We still need to make $60 daily to pay our hotel room until then, but with this money we would be able to actually have a home again. Save money, relax and not have a daily worry we could potentially be on the street again.
