2 Injured Orlando Police Officers Need Your Help
Donation protected
The Orlando Police Heroes Foundation, a 501c3 charitable organization, is accepting donations on behalf of the two Orlando Police Officers who were critically shot in the line of duty on Friday, August 4, 2023, while conducting a traffic stop in Downtown Orlando.
Just before 11pm, the two officers stopped a car near W. Washington Street and N. Garland Avenue that was wanted in connection with a homicide in Miami. The suspect shot both officers multiple times and then carjacked another driver before fleeing the scene in the stolen car.
Both officers underwent emergency surgery at the Orlando Regional Medical Center and are expected to survive after a long recovery.
To assist the officer's families as they relocate to the hospital for an unknown length of time, the Orlando Police Heroes Foundation is raising money to offset those costs so that the families are not burdened financially during these trying times.
The Orlando Police Heroes Foundation was founded in 2017 by members of the Fraternal Order of Police, Orlando Lodge 25 to assist the Men and Women of the Orlando Police Department. We are recognized by the IRS as a charitable organization and Our Tax ID# is 81-5420631.
