Life throws some super crappy curve balls sometimes. Even though it's not my ball, or even my game, it hit really hard! It took my breath away and hurt my heart.

It is no surprise to me Lj has grown up to be such a strong, amazing individual. With a mom like Jenny, there really was no other option.

As most know, this summer Lj was diagnosed with a tumor (unknown at the time whether it was benign or malignant but treated as benign) on his adrenal gland. In the months to come, he had a CT scan that discovered 2 "concerning spots" on his lungs. His 3-month check-up was moved up and his Oncologist found the two spots on his lungs had grown. In addition, 4 more spots were found. At that time, a decision was made by his medical professionals to wait to do surgery, as there was a fear a viable biopsy would not result. This was scheduled for November 6th.

However, after further consultations with his Oncologist, a decision was made to do another scan of his lungs on October 19th. Unfortunately, not only did this scan not produce the hopeful results, but 2 more spots were discovered (for a total of 8). In addition, 2 of the 6 original spots had grown to an operable size.

Because of this, a decision was made to go to Fargo, ND for pre-op on the 24th, surgery on the 25th and an immediate start up of chemotherapy after surgery. This surgery went well and Lj is currently in the process of recuperating. To nobody's surprise, he is in the best of spirits and thanking the nurses and staff members for taking such good care of him!

While Lj and his family fight and remain strong during his battle with adrenal cancer, I felt the need to do something to help. While thoughts, prayers and cards are incredibly awesome and so very helpful, there are financial burdens this family has, and will encounter.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help ease those financial burdens, as this is the last thing this family needs to worry about. Anything you have to offer is incredibly amazing. It makes no difference if it is thoughts, prayers, monetary donations or sharing of this on Facebook and any other social media outlet. Everything helps!

This fundraiser has been approved by Jenny and all funds will go to Jenny.
