2 Year Old Son Lost In A Tragic Bronx Fire

Hello, I hope all is well with you. My name is Coumba Sankanou, and I am fundraising on behalf of my aunt Fatoumatta Sankanu. The fire that occurred on January 9th, 2022 in the Bronx has impacted our community immensely and left many families heartbroken and helpless. Fatoumatta Sankanu is a hardworking mother of four kids. The unprecedented circumstance has led her to lose her son Ousmane Konteh (2 y.o). She was at work when she was notified about the fire and rushed over to the scene. Her son Ousmane was staying at a relative’s apartment that morning when the fire broke out. His aunt was alerted about the situation and decided to escape through the staircase with her own son and Ousmane from the 19th floor. Unfortunately, the three of them did not make it.

 

We are asking for donations in order to raise enough money for funeral expenses, and to provide assistance for Fatoumata and her kids.
