2017 PCK Garden Fundraiser

Positive Community Kitchen is a non-profit organization that prepares nutritious organic meals for families and individuals facing life threatening health challenges. Over 80 teens are engaged in hands-on work preparing the food, learning professional cooking skills, and developing healthy eating habits.
PCK adult and teen volunteers have come together in the kitchen for four years to serve freshly prepared meals to hundreds of community members in the Eugene/Springfield area. We are excited because as we grow we can help more people.
Recently, we've been given the opportunity to cultivate fresh produce from our own garden! Currently, PCK relies on donated fruits and vegetables from gracious community members to serve our sixty plus clients weekly. The land has been lent, but we need tools, equipment, soil amendments and even a truck(used) to transport our garden’s goodness to our cooking space.
A garden of our own brings full circle a farm-to-table concept where volunteers of all ages can learn about healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
We, the teen volunteers are looking forward to opportunities in the garden because we get to see where the food is coming from. We are learning a lot in the kitchen such as knife skills, preparing a variety of dishes from soups to desserts and working together as a team. However, the garden will only increase these opportunities. We want to get our hands dirty!
We know as an organization, the garden will positively impact our community in many ways.
Your donation to our garden is a gesture of hope, love, and faith that teens have the power to be positive change agents in the world, starting right here in Eugene. Help us raise $15,000!
