Bread Bakers Guild of America

Tax deductible

Since its founding over twenty-five years ago, The Bread Bakers Guild of America has been a consistent force behind the artisan baking community.  Our goals have been unwavering; to promote a standard of quality in artisan baking and to provide the education of these standards, skills and techniques to foster professional growth for current and future artisans.

While we remain grounded in the educational benefits of The Guild, we also relish in the strong community that has developed over all of these years.

Our vibrant community, your community, can be proud of its many accomplishments over the past two and half decades:

*Steady growth from 600 members then to over 2,000 members now, including some of the world’s most revered experts in the artisan baking industry.

*Competition in The Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie eight times resulting in two gold, two silver and one Best Bread Award, proving that U.S. Bakers can successfully go up against the toughest international competitors.

*Over 300 classes offering training in time-honored techniques and formulas, improving the quality and accessibility of artisan breads in more bakeries, home kitchens and neighborhood farmer’s markets.

*The facilitation of a growing network of bakers, millers, farmers and instructors, across the globe, who share our deep-seeded commitment to preserving the tradition of artisan baking.

The Guild has been fortunate to receive generous support from members and donors who make it possible to accomplish so much and it is with tremendous gratitude that we’re reaching out to ask for your continued financial support.  With your help, we will continue to grow, reach our mutual goals and influence more people in the baking industry. Over the next three years, our plans include increased outreach to widen our circle of members, the addition of a viennoiserie certification course, representation at all Guild sponsored events and an increase in regional event offerings in more central locations.

This is your Guild and we are honored that you entrust us with your financial investments to carry out our shared mission of preserving artisan baking traditions. As with anything worth investing in, it takes time, energy and patience to shape it and nurture its growth and we’re asking for your continued support to shape the future growth of The Guild.
