2019 Boilermaker Charity Bib for Kids Oneida
Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? This year I've decided to run the Boilermaker 15K on a Charity Bib for Kids Oneida!
Why I'm running - Project HOME!
- Until Kids Oneida launched Project HOME (Housing Opportunities to Motivate and Empower) in 2018, young adults who were homeless in Oneida County had few places to turn.
- Project HOME, a rapid rehousing program, offers housing as quickly as possible to homeless young adults ages 18-24 and provides intensive case management, supportive services, and rental assistance to help them successfully transition to, and remain in, permanent housing.
- In their first year, Kids Oneida supported 23 young adults, all of whom have remained in permanent housing thus far.
Charity Bib donations will support the costs of the following transition items that are not covered by grant money: mattresses, furniture, clothing, food as well as household, cleaning and hygiene supplies.
Kids Oneida, founded in 1997, is an innovative community-based provider that facilitates family-driven service to restore social, emotional, behavioral health and well being to keep families together.
They currently provide support to over 1100 individuals and families each day, prenatally through end of life in 7 counties.
