2019 Butler HOCO / Family Reunion

We are just 15 Saturdays away from yet another Butler HOCO!! We say it each and every year and that is because it still rings true....it simply continues to get BIGGER and better each year! In 2018 we had a record number of current students attend. This year we want to be able to say the same for alumni that have not been back for some time!
We need your help in contacting everyone you know that has not been back to campus to make it our best attendance yet!
Our location will be the same as last year; directly outside of Gate 4 with a MASSSIVE space for dancing, tables to eat or play cards, corn hole, steppin/strollin, laughing, or simply reminiscing back to when life was simple.
The university is thrilled to once again come alongside our efforts in conjunction with the Legacy Foundation. HOCO has grown to the point where we can no longer financially support this event in its entirety solely out of our own pocket. We need to the support of the university, sponsors, and alumni to make it work. The Legacy Foundation's goal is to help assist and close the financial gap for current and prospective students to attend Butler University. Tuition has ballooned since most of us have attended, therefore we have created The Legacy Foundation with the belief that Butler is missing out on high quality, high character individuals who simply don't place Butler on their list of schools solely due to the expense. Your donation to HOCO 2019 will help create an endowment to open doors for students who would 1) not even apply to Butler due to tuition, or 2) struggle to STAY at Butler due to finances.
As always a buffet will be provided along with water. We will not be providing any alcoholic beverages however if you are 21 you can BYOB all you'd like. We will NOT have cooler space to store drinks as those will be reserved for food back-ups for the buffet. More specifics about what y'all will be eating will follow soon....but of course there will be bacon wrapped water chestnuts!
We have tossed the idea around for a few years but how many of y'all would be interested in a stroll/step contest? You have 15 weeks to prepare and if music is needed you will need to provide that to the DJ booth. Grab your best and bring your best. Minimum of three people must participate to qualify. It doesn't matter if you're undergrad or grad chapter. If you reppin your frat....show out then! Cash and/or awards will be awarded (more info to come).
Be on the lookout for updates each week leading up to Oct 26. Please keep in mind that the MBB will be hosting an exhibition game that evening as well directly following our madness.
