BOTH of the Colchester Middle School Odyssey of the Mind Teams (Problem 5, Drama, and Problem 3, Classics) competed in the State of Vermont competition and qualified for the World Finals at Michigan State in May!
Odyssey of the Mind is the largest creative problem-solving competition in the world. Each year, the top two finishers from each state for each of the five long-term problems qualify to attend the World Finals, where teams from over 30 states and dozens of other countries come together to compete and celebrate creativity.
The impact that this experience has on the kids who participate is life-changing: The kids gain a broader perspective by interacting with peers from around the country and the world; gain confidence from performing their solutions on a big stage; and deepen their love of learning through witnessing the power of creative problem-solving on a large scale.
These kids are proud of their wins and super excited about taking their show to Michigan, but getting there and participating is costly. Any help you can provide would be enormously appreciated!

The CMS Problem 5 team is Sydney Feltz, Safyre Pliskaner, Moorea Lambert, Ella Pecor, Addison Jenkins and Allison Winslow. Joe Lambert is the coach.

The CMS Problem 3 team is Indiana Resteghini, Jackson Pecor, Ethan Thompson, Emily Fitzgerald, Molly Kane and Tiegan Lambert. Joni Pecor is the coach.
