2020 Francis Scott Key School Day of Service
Donation protected
We are having our second annual FirstService Residential/Silo Point Francis Scott Key Day of Service.
We will be completing landscaping (led by the efforts of Brightview), plumbing, painting, cleaning and other various projects at FSK to create a better environment for the children who attend. This year we will have two days of service (last year we had one). The first day will be in July to paint classrooms for teachers prior to school starting back up in September with the help of CertaPro painters and the second day will be in August (this day will include outdoor projects).
Last year we had over 60 vendors and 165 volunteers contribute. This year we would like even more "hands on deck" to continue this important work to improve the lives of others and make Locust Point an even better place to live and work!
Last year we reached out to mostly vendors and residents of Silo Point, but this year we would like to enlist all of Locust Point & an even broader part of Baltimore City (including local government) to support the cause. Last year we did incredible things, but in doing so we created a deficit we had to make up. We are not "professional volunteers", but everyday people that want to make a difference in the community in which we live and work.
The hard work and effort put into last years event by everyone was well worth it by the letters we received from the children who attend the school, the residents of Locust Point thanking us & the overall appeal of the neighborhood being enhanced.
Please see attached photos from last year's event taken by our professional resident photographer Dave McIntosh - https://mcintosh.smugmug.com/Events/2019-09-14-Francis-Scott-Key-ES-MS
We thank you so much in advance for your support!
Respectfully,
