What a year LaJornada has had.
At the end of 2019, after ten years of service to the community, LaJornada was evicted from the church that they called home. Two weeks before Covid shut down NYC, LaJornada found a new home-and just in time. LaJornada has been a vital lifeline for tens of thousands during the pandemic thus far.
So this year the celebration may be different but the commitment to serve children with gifts and serve families with resources and hope continues. Last year we served 1000 children and their families. This year we will serve 4000. We will host the give-away for Epiphany on January 9 in a Queens Park.
