2020 Missions trip for the children in Guatemala

Dear friends and family,
In January of 2016 I learned of a missions trip opportunity in my hometown of Lyndonville, VT which was founded by church members of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church. I have had a dream to do missionary work for many years. I've talked to missionaries and missionary schools, for example, Nyack College in NY. I quickly asked who I had to contact to learn more of this missions trip opportunity in my hometown, as my heart, spirit and soul were ignited with passion and hope that my dream was possible! I became a part of the 2017 VT mission team to serve at the Shadow of His Wings Orphanage in Monjas, Guatemala as I took the very first flight of my life. I served with 26 total strangers. I had many fears of which I handed over to God. I didn't know what was expected of me. This trip changed my life in many positive ways into eternity. We brought hope, joy and love to children whom didn't know what hope, joy and love was. They come from horrific backgrounds that are heartbreaking to hear about. We brought food to families and widows that may receive no other food for the entire week. We visited nursing homes to bring hope, love, food and beverages to seniors that may have no family or assistance. They all live in a small, very basic home with concrete walls and I saw a room where they all sleep where all the beds were and it made me so grateful for the basic things that we enjoy here in the US. I now sponsor 5 girls at the orphanage including two pairs of sisters which has fulfilled another lifelong dream of having a daughter. When I see these children smile it is a dream fulfilled in my life! On February 14th of 2018 I departed to serve on 3 consecutive missions teams at the orphanage, two missions teams from VT and one missions team from NY. In the process of serving, I sponsored 2 children giving me 4 sponsored children at that point in time whom live at this orphanage. I returned home on March 13th completely drained physically and emotionally from my experiences which I saw and experienced in Guatemala, although I was very fulfilled. I am taking a spanish class to assist me to better communicate with the children and everyone else. I served on both Vermont missions teams in 2019 and sponsored my 5th child, Maria Jose! I have already committed to being on the two 2020 missions teams which will depart from Lyndonville, VT in February to go serve once again at the orphanage and beyond in Guatemala. This continues living out a life dream of having more children and doing missionary work to serve others and to improve humanity and humankind. I am not a wealthy man in money therefore I am asking for assistance from anyone whom is interested in assisting me to fulfill my dream of assisting and serving the least of thee as we bring them hope, joy and love which they do not realize exist in this world. I will serve as Gods hands and feet as He is fulfilling His will in my life through me. Thank you everyone, my brothers and sisters in Christ! Gracias! May you all be richly blessed! If you have any questions regarding my missions trips please don't hesitate to ask me! I love you all! Gratefully! One life!
