2021 Bikers Against Breast Cancer

This June 5th, we would have marked our 28th year of Bikers Against Breast Cancer. However, as our nation continues to curb the spread of COVID-19 and the ongoing parade and gathering restrictions imposed by the New York City government; we are unfortunately unable to successfully have the event for this year again.

For the past 28 years, the BABC raised funds for our local cancer support group called Shareing & Careing. Shareing & Careing was founded in 1994 as a grassroots, community-based not-for-profit by four breast cancer survivors who knew that the lack of solid breast cancer services in Queens County that they were experiencing affected many other women, particularly those living in Astoria/Long Island City and the surrounding communities. Since then their mission has evolved to provide cancer outreach, education, support, and advocacy services to all women and men, particularly those who are under-or uninsured members of minority groups who have the least resources of all.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions imposed, Shareing & Careing have also been unable to hold any of their annual events which are their primary source of funding. Thus, though we too have to cancel BABC for the same Covid-19 reasons, we hope that through the GoFundMe that we have set up, we can raise some funds for this wonderful organization to keep providing the support and outreach to families affected by breast cancer.

Therefore we are asking all you, your families and friends that are willing and able, to contribute to this GoFundMe.

All donations are tax-deductible.
All funds raised will go directly to Shareing & Careing.
