The 2021 Challenge
In 2021 I'll be completing one 'challenge' every month to raise money for a different charity. Why? Your guess is as good as mine.
My list of challenges and the charities I’ll be fundraising for each month are:
1. January: Veganuary & Dry January - NHS charities together
2. February: 2021 press ups in a single day – British Heart Foundation to support National Heart Month
3. March: Climb the height of Everest (8849 meters) – Cancer Research UK to support Prostate and Ovarian cancer month
4. April: Row the distance of the English Channel (35,000 meters) – MS Society UK to support MS awareness week (19-25 April)
5. May: 100k steps in a day – Mind to support Mental health awareness week (18 - 23 May)
6. June: Live off £10 for a whole week– Carers UK to support National Carers Week (8 - 13 June)
7. July: 3 Peaks Challenge - Dementia UK
8. August: Ice bath challenge – Shelter UK
9. September: 15,627 steps a day (minimum) to reflect the number of calls Samartians get every single day (5,703,830 a year in 2016) – Samaritans to support World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September)
10. October: Run a marathon – Breast Cancer UK to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
11. November: 100 Press ups and 100 pull ups every day for a month – Movember to support Mens Health
12. December: 'The Murph' WOD: 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 press ups and 300 squats, all with a 20lb weighted vest – National AIDS Trust to celebrate World AIDS Day (1 December)
If you'd like to support my madness then please donate - any amount would be amazing! If you want to donate to a specific charity please state which one by adding a donation comment (see link below), otherwise I’ll split the money between all 12 charities at the end of the year.
Every penny counts and will help all of these charities continue their amazing work. Thank you!
