Fees and expenses for 2022 Symetra Tour Season
Donation protected
My name is Hailey Davidson and I am the worlds first transgender woman to win a professional golf tournament (three-time winner). I have been in contact with the LPGA and USGA for a few years and have recently been cleared to compete on the LPGA/Symetra/LET Tours along with USGA run events after going through a medical panel process run by the tours.
Golf has always been my life and while my journey to the tour will be different then most, I am very excited to get my career started. I briefly played professionally prior to transitioning but had not been able to compete since 2015 as a result of my transition due to LPGA bylaws. With this being said I have not stopped working on my game and have never given up any focus on this goal. I have been very lucky to be around some fantastic influences in the world of golf that have helped me realize this goal is not a dream but a soon to be reality.
Im currently a +2.4 index in regards to my handicap have been working with Champions Tour Player Skip Kendal on my full swing and short game. I know I have what it takes from being around professional golfers on the LPGA/PGA/Champions Tour over the recent years and staying very competitive with them all. While i know that I have the talent and mental game to make a career out of playing, the initial cost of tournaments and practice expenses is what truly holds me back.
I recently finished up at Q School and after not having a great week, I was still able to make the 54 hole cut and earn partial status for next year’s Symetra Tour Season. This allows me to enter events as an alternate and also have priority sign up for LPGA Monday qualifiers. While I don't have full status now, I just need to take advantage of the opportunities I get to grow that status and continue to grow from there.
I have never been more dedicated towards my dream after recently learning that this cannot be done while still holding a full time job. This is something that I hope to end should the funds present themselves because if I can give this my full focus then the sky truly is the limit!
Below is my tournament history since having surgery back in January:
- NWGA Hawks Landing (Tied 6th)
- US Women’s Open Local Qualifying (Tied 10th)
- NWGA Tour Providence Golf Club (1st Place)
- NWGA Tour Southern Dunes G&CC (4th)
- NWGA Tour Disney Palm (5th)
- NWGA Tour Black Bear Golf Club (1st Place)
- NWGA Tour White Heron Golf Club (Cancelled due to hurricane Elsa)
- NWGA Tour Orange Tree Golf Club (1st Place)
- LPGA Tour Q School Stage 1 (72-75-70-78 but did not advance to stage 2)
My expenses do consist of travel expenses such as gas/airfare/hotels/car rental. I will always drive as long as it is within 12 hours.
I appreciate any and all the help I can get and promise that I wont give any less that 150% until my goal is reached and a new goal is created (winning on tour and qualifying for Solheim Cup)
Thank you so very much for all of your help to make this goal and dream a reality!
