Wishing you a joyful holiday season, and a bright and shiny new year!
Will you make a year-end contribution to help us continue our socially-engaged art and education programs in 2022? With your support next year, we’re excited to welcome new artists, launch new initiatives & collaborations, and offer increasingly hybrid (virtual and in-person) programs that foster our current curatorial theme of “Democracy .”
We look forward to welcoming Urbano’s next Artist-in-Residence, Krystle Brown, who will lead our first inter-generational Community Art Project in collaboration with local arts & cultural organizations. We’re also excited to unveil a youth art exhibition in collaboration with ICA Teens ; a Workshop in collaboration with Monument Lab Transnational Fellow Sergio Beltrán-García, supported by Goethe Institut ; a new series of public “Pop-Ups” across Boston; and so much more coming soon!
These projects are only possible with the support of people who, like you, believe in art as a vehicle for transformation, social change, and collective care. Help us reach and exceed our $10K goal to offer high-quality contemporary art opportunities and nurture a community of socially-engaged artists, youth, and cultural producers in Boston. No gift is too small to make a difference.
At a time when the world and arts are looking for ways to be more intersectional, equitable, and inclusive, Urbano Project is in a unique position to lead the way. Our organization has 12 years of experience led by and serving mainly BIPOC-identified staff, artists, and students. Diversity is part of Urbano’s DNA, so it's woven into everything we do. We remain dedicated to serving Boston artists, youth, and community members as we continue to unpack and address the urgent social issues that have evolved over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This holiday season, we’re thankful for you and for all you make possible here, now, and tomorrow.
Gratefully,
