2022 Dagbe COVID Relief Fund

Tax deductible
First, a HUGE thank you to the more than 200 donors from around the world who came together over the last 18 months to provide almost $25,000 in direct cash assistance to the amazing, hard-working staff of the Dagbe Cultural Institute in the village of Kopeyia, Ghana. Here's their response:

As the pandemic continues to cripple the Ghanaian economy and the cultural tourism industry in general, Dagbe staff members and their children have dealt with unimaginable levels of food insecurity, lack of access to basic medicines and inability to pay school fees. However, with your support, staff members have received a monthly stipend every month since May 2020. Unfortunately, this donor fund is almost exhausted. And with the pandemic likely to drag on into 2022, Dagbe's business realistically won't come back until 2023.

That's where YOU come in. If we all pitch in, we can ensure that Dagbe, its staff and their families survive the pandemic.

Your tax-deductible donation to the Dagbe Institute USA, Inc. (Dagbe's U.S.-based non-profit arm), will once again be distributed directly to Dagbe staff members (instructors, groundskeepers and kitchen crew) as a monthly stipend. 100% of all money raised goes directly to Dagbe staff via Mobile Money, a popular technology in Ghana that allows people to receive, store and spend money using a mobile phone (sometimes called a 'mobile wallet'). Any funds raised in excess of the amount needed will go toward increasing salaries and maintenance of the Dagbe site.

Thanks so much for your support – and please help spread the word!

Best wishes,
