Pakistan Emergency Flood Appeal - 2022
Millions of people need your urgent help in Pakistan.
33 Million affected, 1 in 7 of the population, 1 Million homes destroyed leaving families homeless, and over 1,136 people have been confirmed dead, sweeping away entire communities; National Disaster Management Authority says. The UN launched a major appeal seeking to raise $160m in emergency aid for victims as early estimates put the costs at $10bn. One-third of the country is underwater - an area the size of the UK; the government has declared 72 out of 160 districts to be disaster zones.
The floods have also submerged vital infrastructure and farmland, killing livestock and destroying two million acres of crops, threatening future harvests. [BBC]

Aghosh is a sister Charity raising funds for Al-Khidmat foundation and is established both in USA and UK. (See link on Al-khidmat's website: https://alkhidmat.org/)

Throughout the Holy Quran the feeding of orphans, the poor, and the needy are an article of faith that signal one's true devotion to the teachings of Islam.
Allah (SWT) says in the Noble Quran: “And in their wealth is a recognised right. For the (needy) who asks and the one who is deprived.” (Quran, 70:24-25)
