2022 IPF World Powerlifting Championship
Donation protected
G’day everyone,
For those of you who don’t know, my result from the 2021 Australian Powerlifting Nationals last year has qualified me for the 2022 IPF World Powerlifting Championship. I have been invited to compete as part of the Australian Team in South Africa in June.
COVID has thrown a spanner in the works over the past two years, and I was unsure whether Australia would send a team this year, let alone be invited to be part of that team.
Competing at IPF Worlds has been a goal since I first started competing in 2015. It’s still quite a surreal feeling that I have been invited to share the stage with some of the best lifters in the world.
I am grateful for those who have supported me over the years throughout my powerlifting journey and have aided in helping me get to this point.
As grateful as I am, the entirety of the trip is self-funded, and I need to raise funds to help pay for the cost of competing overseas.
The funds will cover flights, comp fees, transport, food, and accommodation costs.
Any excess donations will be donated to the Magic Moments - Grandies foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that helps and assists the elderly in need of support. This cause holds a special place in my heart after seeing my grandparents go through aged care and seeing the many elderly that receive a lack of support with no visitations from family or friends and are left to fade away.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I thank everyone for their support thus far in my powerlifting journey.
