2022 Blue Santas - JHS Class of 1992

Dear JHS Class of '92-

Once again, we are trying to get our annual Class of 1992 Christmas giving drive, The Blue Santas, started again for this year.

This will be our 6th consecutive year as the Blue Santas. Just to give everyone some background, the first year we were able to raise almost $6000 that went directly to many families in the Parish. The next year we continued working with Saint Anthony Parish and gave much needed gifts to a bunch of Parish families and to Unity Coalition.

We then changed gears in 2019 and joined efforts with the Hams for Fams Project. Hams for Fams is fundraising effort started by guys from the class of 2017 and they feed approximately 200 families a Christmas dinner each year. We maintained our identity as the Blue Santas of '92 and purchased almost $3000 of Christmas needs/gifts for 20 of the families Hams for Fams helps in 2019.

In 2020 we raised $4755, netting us $4602.39 after the Go Fund Me fees. We spent $4183.11 on gifts for over 30 families and had $419.28 left over.

In 2021, we raised $4396 and had $237.99 in Go Fund Me fees for a total of $4158.01 plus the $419.28 from 2021. We spent $4206.45 at Target leaving a balance for this year of $370.84.

Last year was awesome and the plan is to do the same thing again this year. Trust me when I say that this is a way you can directly help a needy family have a nice Christmas. We bought everything from toys for little children to kitchen and bath items for adults. We will need to raise at least $3500 in the next 2 weeks. The week before Christmas we will go and buy the gifts and arrange for

delivery.
