2022 Nationals Live Organ Music
Hello Skating Family,
We are planning for the 2022 US Artistic Roller Skating (USARS) National Championships in Lincoln, NE for Nationals in July 2022. I am writing this on behalf of Mykal (Mike) Pedraza.
As some of you may know, the last two years of the pandemic have been especially difficult for the world, the United States, and for our sport. I am helping to fundraise for this year only. Mykal thanks all for the thoughts, prayers, and well wishes; he has been managing many personal matters, but has read and enjoyed your support messages and well wishes.
For 2022, the volunteer group would like to transport a Hammond B-3 Organ (approximately 425 pounds!) from Philadelphia, PA to Lincoln, NE (2,600 miles round trip!) This will allow our talented volunteer organist, Mr. Ralph Brown, to play all of your favorite organ music dance songs LIVE at the adult National Championships.

Our goal for funds this year is $2,500.00, a little lower than previous years, thanks to some generous donations. The fundraising pays for the airfare, hotel, and transportation of the organ and its talented player. As we return to skating again, I hope to see many people enjoying the live music and skating fellowship.
Here are the costs:
$1519.50 Air travel and hotel for Ralph Brown (I (Tansie) have prepaid this package, $200 cheaper than separate tickets)
$800 to rent organ (Transport was $1000 last year, cheaper to rent, receipt will be uploaded here/available after rental is paid)
$30 per day per diem x 6 = $180 to volunteer Ralph Brown (So he can eat, pay any expenses)
$.50 Fees charged by Go Fund Me (Depends on amount raised, I (Tansie) am happy to cover it, but let's say it's .50 cents; will take photo of final invoice and try to upload here or provide after payment to USARS, etc. I have never done this before, not sure if I can post here after.)
