2022 World Games - Sumo

Hello, my name is Yaleidy Galindo im participating in the 2022 World Games in Birmingham Alabama for Sumo. I have earned a spot on the Team USA. This is such an exciting and a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I am part of the Yamamoto LA Sumo Club, my husband had taken up Sumo seeing him enjoy what he was doing was awesome, with his support, coaching, and encouragement I did my first tournament and just fell in love with the sport. I have been doing Sumo since 2020 and I am determined to be the best I can be in this sport.

Donations will be used to cover workout training, meals plans, any additional travel expenses. These upcoming months are going to be strict on both workout and meal regimen to be in the best shape I can be. I have never taken on a challenge like this before and I am grateful for the opportunity, looking forward to representing the USA to the best of my abilities.



The USA is still in search of a medal in the Woman's Sumo category as a team we are focused and determined to change this for Woman's USA Sumo.

With the support of donors I will be able to continue striving towards my goals and targets over the coming months to become the best female sumo wrestler I can be and prove that with the right attitude and determination, nothing can stop you from getting to where you want to be.
