2023 Boston Marathon Team
Tax deductible
Help support the Ed Walsh Foundation team running in the 2023 Boston Marathon. Money raised from this event is used to help Boston area children in school and sports.
Named for Lieutenant Ed Walsh of the Boston Fire Department, the Ed Walsh Foundation was established to keep Ed’s spirit alive by giving back to the community where he lived and worked.
Ed’s life was devoted to serving others and the goal of the Foundation is to carry-on Ed’s dedication to helping people in need. The Foundation’s mission is to help Boston area children and families. In addition to lending a hand to local families coping with tragedy, death, or illness, the Foundation also supports youth sports, after-school programs and organizations like the YMCA, Boys & Girls Club and Franciscan Children’s.
The Ed Walsh Foundation also distributes grant money through its Smile-On Grant program. The Smile-On Grant was created to celebrate children and to support the teachers, parents, coaches and therapists who work with them. Our grants provide teachers with the tools and resources they need. This was especially true during the 2020 and 2021 school years as teachers and specialists worked so hard to adapt their programs and put together resources for students to have when learning remotely.
The Ed Walsh Foundation is keeping Ed's spirit alive by spreading smiles to children in school and sports. Your support allows us to do that and we are so grateful for your help.
With Thanks,
Kristen and the entire Ed Walsh Foundation team
