Who am I?

My name is Leah Hough and I am a 17 year old kayaker from Navan, Co Meath. I’m both a member of the Irish Freestyle Kayaking Team and a member of Trim Canoe Club. I’m also a Loreto Navan 5th year student.

This October I will represent Ireland for the third time at the ICF Freestyle Kayaking World Championships in Columbus, Georgia, USA. I am currently ranked 9th in the world in my division and training hard to improve on this in the upcoming World Championships! I started Freestyle Kayaking in 2020 and have dedicated the last 3 years to all things freestyle kayaking, placing first in numerous competitions in Ireland, including Galway Fest (Europe’s biggest kayak festival). Why I’m looking for funding

Freestyle kayaking athletes are self-funded. This brings with it the financial challenge of funding travel, accommodation and ongoing training. By donating you can help me achieve my dreams of competing for Ireland at the World Championships and furthering my passion for freestyle kayaking.
