$25k From Giving Tues to CO Gives Day, for MCTO
Tax deductible
Dear Supporters,
It's giving season and we need your collective help raising $25,000 between November 28th (Giving Tuesday) and December 5th (Colorado Gives Day)!
This funding is specifically to fulfill the last portion in year 1 of a 2 year grant with collaborators at Boston Children's Hospital / Harvard University. The work of Dr. April Craft's lab at BCH is imperative to understanding why the gene mutated in Sophie's condition is causing improper bone formation. These studies are critical to supporting our eventual development of effective therapeutics for MCTO.
Please share this with everyone you know to help us meet this goal that will make a life changing impact. Any donation amount, small or large helps tremendously. To learn more about our grants and collaborations, visit: https://www.sophiesneighborhood.org/grants
Sophie is one of ~50 people in the world identified with MCTO, a rare, progressively crippling genetic bone and kidney condition that gets worse as she grows up. There is currently no treatment that will stop the disorder from its path of destruction. Our nonprofit 501c3, Sophie's Neighborhood, was formed to change that as rapidly as possible, and you can too.
Please help us make a difference this holiday season before it is too late for Sophie and her peers.
~ Happy holidays to all ~
Love always, The Sophie's Neighborhood Team
