2023 Miss Black Minnesota Talented Teen

Hello, my name is DaMaris Marjett Jones, I am now a two-time title holder as the FIRST Miss Juneteenth Minnesota 2022 (Google) and Miss Black Minnesota Talented Teen 2023. I am working my way to Washington DC to compete in the National Miss Black USA Talented Teen pageant for the National Miss Black USA on August 2-7, 2023 for a 4-year full-ride scholarship, and other prizes. I need to raise $5,000. I am responsible to cover all the expenses and costs for me to compete at the national pageant.

Currently, I’m a Junior at Coon Rapids High school and plan to attend college to become a model, entertainer, singer, actress and interior designer. While not in school I am an amazing, energetic outgoing teenager that, works, and loves to create through design, art, and social media makeup tutorials for others and myself so they can see the beauty they posse inside and out. I know makeup can bring out confidence within and be empowering. I love to sing, so my talent will be singing.

I have a mission, and a vision to inspire other girls, teens, and young adults like myself to speak up and let them know their voices need to be heard when it comes to emotional issues, such as stress, depression, and self-esteem. Using the arts and

make-up tutorials empower those who struggle with being bullied for their indifferences and insecurities and do not feel noticed.

I am empowered by my relationship and faith with God, which allows my faith to open doors for my gifts and talents. I am involved in my local church which is my sponsoring agent. I love my community I have volunteered at Churches Without Walls, Soul of Me Speaks, and Kingdom Life Church. I have attended many special engagements and events.

I need your help; this opportunity would allow me to be exposed to educational and networking opportunities and have a chance to bring a national title back to our state as a two-time title holder as the First Miss Juneteenth Minnesota 2022 and now Miss Black Minnesota Talented Teen 2023.
