2023 Pan American Games - Robert Bonomo

Hello, my name is Robert Bonomo. I was recently selected by our National Federation to compete at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile at the end of October 2023 in the sport of modern pentathlon; a multi-discipline event comprising of 5 different sports (swimming, fencing, shooting, running, and horse jumping).

The Pan American Games for modern pentathlon is a hallmark competition as it is a direct qualifying competition for the 2024 Olympic Games.

I am doing a small fundraiser to offset some of the expenses of this competition, as the process to get to this point has costed several thousands of dollars in attending pre-qualifying competitions for the Pan American Games, as well as costs for training and therapy at home.

The $500 would be a means to upgrade/ensure my equipment that I use across the different disciplines is in good condition.

My plan on a $500 budget

-> $250 (1 x new FIE epee blade wired add to my fencing set).

-> $150 (1 x new Arena racing swim suit).

-> $100 (other expenses including gun calibrations, spikes for runners, new goggles, etc).
