Ireland 2023 Senior Mens National Lacrosse Team

We are excited to announce our Men’s National Team that will be competing in the 2023 Men’s World Lacrosse Championship. The games will be held in San Diego, California from June 21 to July 1, 2023. The 2023 Men’s World Lacrosse Championship will feature 30 teams and more than 100 games at San Diego State University and the University of San Diego. Ireland Lacrosse is a 100% volunteer-led organization with a common goal of growing the sport of lacrosse throughout Ireland and among Irish people worldwide. Our mission statement, “Ireland Lacrosse shall, first and foremost, work to develop the sport of lacrosse throughout the island of Ireland for both men and women and at all levels from youth to adult. Arising out of this development, Ireland Lacrosse shall also oversee, manage and support the Irish national teams – for men and women and at under-age and senior levels” this drives that point home.

The organization has continually grown since its first appearance in the international competition in 2001. This growth includes the birth of the Irish Lacrosse League, in 2009, along with the senior men’s national team being consistently ranked in the top tier worldwide, and participation in 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, and the 2018 world lacrosse championship. Unfortunately, being a volunteer-led organization, the costs of participating in the World Championship fall directly on the players. As the national team prepares and looks forward to participating in the 2023 World Lacrosse Championship, in San Diego, California we are looking for your help to lessen the financial burden put on our players; which would allow them to focus on playing the game and spreading the love for lacrosse that makes this all possible.

Please help us offset these costs and ease the large financial responsibility that is put on each individual player and team. Your generous donation will help our National Team pay for:

- Field Rentals for Practices and Camps

- Travel Costs

- Lodging and Meals at World Championships

- Tournament participation fee

- Training and medical supplies

- Necessary equipment and uniforms

The contributions from this campaign will benefit the team as a whole, as opposed to the sponsorship of an individual player. Not only will your donation support the dreams of a group of national team lacrosse players, but it is also tax deductible for those in the USA.
