2024 Mission Trip to Morocco

We have been presented with another amazing opportunity to travel to Morocco in May of 2024 for a Mission Trip. In the above video, you can see some of the work that our doctors were able to accomplish in 2023.

Dr. George Pronesti, Dr. Ayan Chatterjee and Dr. Neil Farbman from Kremer Eye Center and Dr. William McCollum and Dr. Yalitza Lopez Pimentel from the Dominican Republic will perform cataract and glaucoma surgery. Dr. Nickolas Hadjokas and Dr. Talia Shoshany from Wills Eye Hospital and Dr. Ryan Smith from Augusta, GA will provide cataract and cornea surgery.Dr. Bernard Dib from Kremer Eye Center will provide retina surgery. Dr. Parag Ghandi will be offering eye and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Melanne Rosetta from Omni Eye Services and Dr. Glenn Elliot from Ludwick Eye Center will offer patient support services.

The surgical team will be supported by an outstanding surgical staff including Hanna Kuhl RN, LaTasha Martin, Shante Wilson, Amanda Carter, Michelle Hudak, Katerina Palydowycz, Naisia Boatwright, Shana Beckworth, and Cynthia Eiring, CRNA.

During their stay, our team will be teaching the doctors there how to do corneal transplants. There will also be doctors providing plastic/facial surgery, dentistry, and Internal Medicine. Most importantly, we will be fitting children of all ages for glasses, an extremely unmet need in this region.
