2024 Olympic Training Camp

Hi,

I'm Alexander Farquharson, a dedicated long jumper from Coventry competing on the international stage. My journey in athletics started in 2012, fuelled by the aspiration of one day making it to the Olympics. I am the current British Indoor Champion for 2024 and have represented my country at global junior level, but I need your help to make it to the pinnacle of sport – this years Olympic Games in Paris.

Due to my success over recent years, I believe that this year presents my prime opportunity to secure a spot on the Olympic team, proudly representing my city and country on the biggest of stages.

I am currently being coached by Aston Moore. Aston is known for his success with coaching many athletes to World, Olympic and European medals. I know I am in the best hands, but this year, Aston and the rest of my training group will be travelling to Turkey for a specialized camp designed to refine their skills and elevate their competitive edge in preparation for this summer's Games.

To increase my chances of gaining an Olympic medal, I am in search of £2,200 in funding to join my coach and training squad at this camp, so I do not miss out on 3 weeks of crucial training.

This camp will take place at the esteemed Gloria Sports Arena in Turkey, where I'll undergo a rigorous regimen tailored to enhance my jumping technique, boost my speed, and leverage the favourable climate for optimal recovery alongside my training group.

Currently balancing a full-time profession without financial backing from British athletics, I'm reaching out to you, seeking your support to transform my Olympic dream into a reality.
