We did it!! We won the FIRST Robotics Canadian Pacific Regionals in Victoria this past Saturday, March 2nd!! The Hawaiian Kids used their 2nd pick to select us as the third member of their alliance team. Our alliance team went undefeated through the playoffs securing not only first place, but a wildcard berth for the FRC World Championships in Houston, Texas April 17th-20th. We would be graciously appreciative of any contribution to help us go!! Thank you, Thank you!
"Hosted by FIRST®, FIRST Championship is a culminating, international event for our youth robotics competition season and an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for our community as we prepare young people for the future. Qualification and advancement to participate in FIRST Championship varies by program. "

We are Mount Boucherie Secondary School’s Robotics Competition team, the Boucherie Bears. From West Kelowna, we are preparing for this year’s FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. With a 'Cresendo’ theme; we'll be orchestrating our engineering skills and creative power to entertain and move the world in an exhilarating new challenge.
Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of STEM, FIRST® Robotics Competition (ages 14-18) teams use sophisticated technology to build and program industrial-sized robots to play an action-packed, alliance-based game on a themed field. With mentors and sponsors, students learn engineering and problem-solving skills that they can apply to real-world situations today and in the future. Using Gracious Professionalism, each team creates a team identity, raises funds to meet its goals, and works to promote STEM in their community.
Our success as a team relies on procuring local sponsorship and donations. We are seeking support to help pay for our registration fee ($9000), robot building costs ($3000-5000) and travel logisitics to/from the Pacific Regional Competition in Victoria, B.C ($4000). If or when :-) we qualify for the World Championships in Texas, we'll need another $12000 for registration and travel expenses. Without your generous support we students could not participate in this valuable, real-world learning experience.
Your generous donations are very appreciated.
Central Okanagan Companies who are interested in a sponsor partnership please contact us directly (mbsrobotics at gmail) and one of our Business Outreach Representatives will be happy to coordinate details and arrange a sponsorship presentation to your company.
