2024 Shareholders Drive

Donation protected
It's Sandhill Scot again. We're ready for another season of farming, educational, and reparations projects. 2024 will bring a few changes with the same range of products. We are looking for both donations, and to sell shares in the farm. If you want to donate to our farm, send your donations to The Institute for Global Education. They have 501c3 status and have agreed to recieve donations for us so you can take the tax write off! Go to https://www.igegr.org/ and donate in Sandhill's name.

As for shares, we will have raw milk, eggs, butter and yogurt, broilers, pork, ground beef, and turkeys for 2024. We might also have a limited amount of lamb. The shares brake down like this:

$250 Share: Allows you to purchase one gallon of milk and one dozen eggs each week. It also comes with 4 broilers, pork cuts (30-40 lbs.), 10 lbs of ground beef, and one turkey. The meat products are part of the share, and you will not have to pay for them as is the case with milk, eggs, and butter. You will begin receiving eggs and milk in late March. Pork in April, Broilers in May, Ground beef in August, and turkey in October. Butter and yogurt may be purchased as well.

$500 Share: Allows you onegallon and one dozen weekly, and additional milk is available at cost. You will receive 6 chickens, 40-50 lbs of pork, 20 lbs of ground beef, and a turkey. 1/2 lb of butter and yogurt at no cost.

$1000 - $1200: $1000 is the upfront cost, 1200 is a quarterly payment begiining in January/February. This full share includes a half hog including smoked hams and bacon. Two gallons of milk and two dozen eggs at no charge per week.Ten broilers, 25lbs. of beef, and 2 turkeys. You may also receive butter and yogurt at no cost.

And, here is our wish/need list. We are in immediate need of a milking cow, and need $800 more for this purchase immediately. We have pick up for a cow and calf in a few days.

Sandhill needs to purchase 50 new layers and 50 broilers.

Sandhill has found a tractor/front end-loader at a neighbors that is a steal at $1750 that we can restore, and then pass on our Ford n8 to an start up farm that is in need once this 1962 JD is functional.

New Mason Jars

Sandhill needs a used Ford F150 8 cylinder Pickup Truck

We need new fending, a new polebarn, and several items to finish off our processing building.

A new website is planned.

Another chain saw.

Come visit the farm, and email me with any questions. Stop by and meet the Speegles: Sean, Hannah, Raine, and River. They are the new farmers at Sandhill as I go back to work to fund the farm! Thanks all, scot
